Hi - I came off the pill in May 2011. Since, my periods have been long - typically 34 - 39 days. On October 15, I found out I was pregnant but miscarried on Nov 7 (at 7 weeks). After my miscarriage, I got my first period on December 12 (34 days). I have not had my period since and it has been 51 days. I took a pregnancy test on day 40 (about 3 days late). I called my OB/GYN on day 41 and day 50 and both times, she told me that it was normal for period not to return to normal for a couple of months. I am not having any pregnancy symptoms and just want my period to get here already so we can start trying again. My husband wants me to go to another doctor because mine doesn't seem to be helping... just keeps telling me that I need to be patient and let my body recover from the miscarriage. Has this happened to anyone?

Did you ever find out? I have a daughter 17 months old and back in Jan around her first birthday my husband and I started trying for a second child. Feb 20 I had a positive pregnancy test only to lose the baby at 6 weeks pregnant. The dr told me to wait to start trying after I have one normal period. I have had 2 normally periods since then. I am normally 34 to 36 days between periods. Now I am 49 days so two weeks late and 3 negative pregnancy tests. I don't know what to think. I have been cramping, bloating, lower back pain, some nausea and excess discharge (clear). I don't know if I should call the dr or what. I would love to know if you figured out what was going on with you.
