    What is the best way to file taxes for dual states?
    I lived in Michigan for 6 monthe and Louisiana for 6 months what is the proper way to file my state staes for bothe states?

    You can file as part year resident of both the states.
    If any of these states is your resident state, you will file resident tax return. Claim credit for taxes paid to other state.
