I dated this guy for about a year, we were best friends before we dated also. We were completely in love but we ended up breaking up. About 2 weeks after we broke up he dated this new girl, and now they tell each other they are going to get married and spend forever with each other and that they love each other. I just recently had a boyfriend and we were dating for about a month. During that month my ex and his new girlfriend had broken up. Me and my ex started hanging around with each other again, we have always been so close. We have been through the unthinkable with each other and still we manage to be best friends.

We hung out one night, and while we were hanging this random guy came up and started talking to us and saying how we looked so cute together ( meanwhile I had a boyfriend, but he and his girlfriend just broke up). This guy asked my ex if he still loved me deep down, and he said yes, there will always be something there. After that I just couldn't believe it. After we were done hanging out he texted me and told me that all he could think about was that guy when he was saying how we looked like we were meant to be and stuff. We keep saying to each other that there must be a reason how we are still so close after everything and how we can fight and then be fine after a while. He told me that he thinks he still loves me.

I had a boyfriend during that time and my ex told me that he didn't want to hangout with me anymore if I had one. ( I don't get why he said that ) Me and my ex ended up getting into an argument and he ended up getting back with his girlfriend that he just had and he told me that he lied when he said he still loved me.

I just don't understand... Me and my boyfriend broke up because it just didn't feel right. My ex is all I can think about and I just need help on what to do and how to get him back now that he has a girlfriend.. We are friends again because we can't stand being mad at each other. We aren't as close as we use to be though and I need help how to win him back .

By the way, I'm 18, and he's 18, so its not like its immature love or anything like that :P

Leave him alone, at least while you are in a relationship, respect it. If you want to try something else, you need to break up with your current boyfriend. Take things slow, it seems like he doesn't really know what he wants. As for now he is just a friend, so stop your emotions and act like a friend, not an ex. Also, if you cannot put your emotions aside, I would recommend to stay away with no contact for a while before you pursue the friendship again, or anything else.

Must be nice to have a hang out buddy you feel good with, but its behind your boyfriends back, and you are playing with fire. Fortunately he has the good sense to leave you alone and pursue love, and romance with another, and not go back to the failures of before with someone who has someone else, and goes behind his back with him. That's what he meant by not going after YOU if YOU had someone already.

Don't try to get him back, he doesn't want to come back. And what of your boyfriend NOW? That's who gets hurt by all your behind the back drama, and conniving.

Deal with the guy that thinks he has you, then ask us what to do about the ex, because right now, you should leave him alone and be happy.
