    Pregnancy test
    I had sex. I wasn't on birth control. But then I took my birth control for four days. Then I stopped.Would the hormones in the birth control have an effect on a pregnancy test?

    Hi peggyjayjay,

    No, birth control pills would not effect pregnancy test results. If you have missed a period, try a pregnancy test. If you haven't yet, see what happens when you expect your next period and test at that time if necessary.

    If there a reason why you took your birth control for just four days and then stopped?

    If these are the daily birth control pills, they would not be effective just taking four of them.

    And no they have no effect on the pregnancy test.

    You will need to wait 3 perhaps at least 4 weeks after you have had the sex to do the pregnancy test. Normally you wait to see if you miss your next period.
