    Math Answers ?
    X, Y and Z can finish a work in 10, 20 and 30 days respectively. After working together for 5 days X left the work and Z also left the work 5 days before the work was complected then in how many days was the work completed?

    For each day that X works he completes 1/10 of the job. So in 5 days he completes 5/10 of the job.

    For each day that Y works he completes 1/20 of the job. If the job takes D days, his contributon is D/20.

    For each day that Z works he completes 1/30 of the job. If he leaves 5 days before the end of the job then his total contribution is (D-5)/30.

    The total of work by all three adds up to the job being complete, so the sum of these three pieces adds to 1. Then solve for D.
