So I've been on the shot since June 2011.my periods was crazy. Sometimes I bled for 6 weeks. My last period was on dec 30 2012. I had sexual intercourse jan 16 2012 and by that Friday I was feeling sick. Well I went to the emergency room and it was my acid reflux acting up. I developed that off my last pregnancy. I took a test and it came back negative. The nurse said I could have the nausea for the next couple of days. Its 5 days later and I still have it. My acid refux has gotten better with my prescription( rantinidine). Im always sleepy and I get even more nausea after I eat. I also haven't had no period for this month. What could this be? Could it be that the depo shot has eliminated my periods? Could it be the meds? Helo me please.

The irregular cycles are likely from the depo injection. Many women find that it changes the frequency and sometimes the flow... lighter or heavier than usual, frequent bleeding or little to no bleeding.

The medication is likely the cause for the nausea, which is common for this medication.

If the nausea does not subside, check back with your doctor. While pregnancy is possible, it is unlikely, but you might want to rule it out again. Your doctor may suggest a different medication to help with the reflux if it turns out that you are not tolerating your current medication well.
