    Contempt of Court
I went to court in November of 2011 and was given fines and fees to pay. $100.00 per month. My first payment was December 28, 2011 but, I didn't go through until January 5, 2012. I got a letter stating that my driver license is suspended and there is a warrant for Contempt of Court. I have been trying to get a hold of my PO but, he never called back. I am not knowing what to do. What does Contempt of Court mean in layman's term.

It means you were ordered to do it on a certain date and did not. So you did not obey the court order.
The PO is just going to wait for you to come in or for you to be arrested and he will see you in jail.

Hire an attorney, turn yourself in and post bail. Remember this is not like a collection agency, if you don't pay when ordered, they can put you in jail.

Not maintaing the discipline as a gentle man in the court by any one is a contempt of court. A person disobeying a court order is an offence but if in a reasonable time he files an appeal against the said order then you will get stay and not bound to obey that order until the appellate court passes another order. Then you will be bound to obey appeallte court final order and if you fail then it is contempt of court and you may be fined or penalised as the case may be even your properties are liable to be attached subject to the amount of penalty or fine. First you understand for which contempt you were paying fine. And you may file an appeal against said order if you are not at guilty

Also get a lawyer for anticipatory bail and find out are you really guilty of contempt of court or not. You may also submit your apologies through an advocate if you are at guilty. Mistake of fact can be pleaded to save you but mistake of law in not case can be successful. First get anticipatory bail through an advocate and then find out a lawyer to find out for what contempt you are being fined

Please use full words and not text speak on the law boards. It makes it very difficult to take you seriously when you are "text speaking."

This is obviously the law in YOUR area - not mine. Where are you?

EDIT: Just checked your postings. You are posting INDIAN law on an International site. There is no indication that the OP is in India. Please ask for the location before you answer.
