    That should be in the divorce decree - the judge should have spelled out how much and for how long.

    There is no "set" time, they will look at incomes, who supported who during the marriage, and how long you were married.

    If not divorced yet, this will be something your attorneys fight out, and if already divorced it will be in the divorce order.
