Aunt's rights after child taken away
My sister had her baby taken away from her in April last year. I have not seen him since march last year. I want to know if I have rights as an auntie to see him I have 3 kids myself and I'm only 21 so I fear they won't give me custody of him so all I want is visitation, is that possible?

What is the current situation? Is he in the custody of social services, or has he been placed for adoption? How old is he? Where are you located?

Well my sister got placed in a unit so they could monitor her with her son(my nephew) and she walked out and told them to put her son back into foster care so that's what they have done. Now my sister has to see her solicitor about what will happen now.he is he is currently 17 months old, at the moment he has been placed in a foster carers home in st agnes, cornwall, uk and I live in newquay, cornwall, uk I really have no idea what to do. Imean he is my nephew and I love him and want to be able to see him x

You find out who the caseworker is and discuss. Very few places have rights for aunts. But social service agencies do prefer to keep things in the family.
