Hey guys,
I'll try to keep this short. Got chatting on fb to a girl I met a few times through friends a while back. We finally hooked up and I spent the night spooning with her at her place (didn't do anything). So I start wondering what it might be (I like her). Then this weekend I find out she has spent the weekend with a guy she met on holiday who she fell in love with. He's gone back now and lives in another country.

I have been talking about it to her tonight and confessed that I want more if she does. She admitted that she views me as definitely more than friends, and thought a lot about me after our night together. But now is confused about her feelings coming back for this other guy. We've agreed to go out together next weekend to see how she feels.

I mean the guy don't live here and she thought she was over him until she met him again. I'm going to see her and be there for her for a bit but if I can't hook her my way will just bail. Also her ex that she just broke up with is hassling her to get back together which she says she has no intention of doing as she feels nothing for him.

What to do? The last few years have been frustrating to be honest, as I always seem to get in these situations. Is this another lost cause, or should I stick around for a few weeks to see how it pans out. So far she's been very honest, open and nice to me so I'm giving her the benefit of the doubt. If she starts messing me around I will walk as I've been through too much already to put up with that. I could definitely go out long term with this girl if she wanted it, and she has confessed that she is looking for a long term relationship.

Isn't that what dating is all about? Having fun getting to know someone by spending time together? Not giving your heart to a stranger that looks like marriage material.

Have fun, but don't get attached to fast, and don't give up your whole life to have fun with her.

Especially given the FACT, she just broke up, and is still confused, so don't get carried away, or commit, or make promises you can't keep.

Plenty of time for those things later, much, much, later.
