I am OPT Student (Indian) who works in California. I would like to know my returns
I have a federal Income tax withheld amount of 1185.16 3059.14 (two different companies I worked for in California). I also have a State withheld of 335.22 960.34. Can someone help me figure out what my returns would be on federal and state

You would have to give a lot more information. What was your income? How long have you been in the US? What's your family status?

Every one on F1/OPT is nonresident for 5 years. You must file nonresident tax return and form 8843. Since you are from India, under tax treaty, you can claim standard deduction as itemized deduction. Your federal income tax will be around $7300. Thanks for the answers, however I did not work on that salary for the whole year. I have provided by withheld amounts in the very first question... the federal withheld amount is 4244.3 USD for 2011. I would like to know how much in that would be refunded as a return. Thanks
