    Pregnant?
Hi, ohm well I'm on Depo birth control, and I had my shot on October 19th 2011 and is due January 13th to 31st
And me and my boyfriend he's been my partner since September of 2011,
Had sex yesterday January 18 with no condom, and I haven't gotten my Depo shot yet... And today I started bleeding... Spotting and the last time I spotted was when I did get pregnant but had a miscarriage in November of 2011, I just want To know if I can be pregnant? Or get pregnant

    Hi dflores1226... welcome to AMHD,

Yes, it is possible that you are pregnant, but not very likely. Pregnancy can occur while using any form of birth control, but most women will not become pregnant while using Depo.

What has gone on with your periods while on Depo? It is quite possible the spotting is due to the recent intercourse, even if you haven't had it happen before. You wouldn't have any spotting due to pregnancy so quickly after having had intercourse.

Have you already made an appointment for the next injection?

First of all let me say I'm sorry that you had to go through a heartwrenching exsperience as a miscarrige because your unsure and worried the best thing to do is to see your ob gyn and have a pregnancy test asap until then go to a store that sells pregnancy tests and follow the instructions that should ease yoyr mind some but to be accurite please go see your ob dr or planned parenthood there also wonderful and make sure to ask for some condoms at planned parenthood there free keep some in your purse and make sure your boyfriend also carries some don't hesitate to go to the emergency room if you feel your having the same symptoms as before I hope things work out

It is too early for a pregnancy test to show up. I see you got the depo in Oct and had a miscarriage in Nov. Did you get pregnant on the shot or before you got it? I would make an apt to get your next shot and ask the Dr about it.

I got pregnant before the shot when I went to plan parenthood to get the shot I thought I wasn't pregnant because the test they gave me came out negative and than on Halloween I took a test and came out positive... and that's when I found out I was 2 1/2 weeks pregnant from my doctor, and lost them the Monday right before Thanksgiving. I'm just really scared I don't want to go through that again or out my partner up with hopes and it happens again... and I only had one 2 period one from after the miscarriage that lasted about a good 2 weeks I would say and one right on decemeber 26 to December 29th. Im trying to go either Saturday January 21
