    What should I do next?
I have had my tubes tied for ten years now, for a month I have had nausea, vomiting, taste changes, breast tenderness, mood swings and I work in a medical office and have had three positive hcg tests, what should I do next, no pains either so far

    Hi kristyjogrady...

Surprise pregnancies happen... even with tubes being tied. If your doctor has confirmed your test results, see about getting started on prenatal care with an OB or midwife.

If the results haven't been confirmed, speak to your doctor about having that taken care of and go from there.

No, it is not the norm, but it happens. Generally a tubal ligation, or vasectomy for that matter, is considered permanent... and in most cases they are. Depending on how your tubal was performed, the odds may be greater for a possible regrowth which may result in pregnancy.

Have you seen your doctor about it? Has the pregnancy been confirmed? If not, do that first. If you are indeed pregnant, they will likely want to do an ultrasound to take a look.
