My boyfriend and I have been together a little over a year. We have always had a rocky relationship, as it was kind of "forbidden". When I was 16, I dated one of our mutual friends, that friend and another made it very clear that if we wanted to be together, they would never speak to us again. We did it anyway, because we thought we where perfect for each other. About two weeks after we became official, he cheated on me. I found out a few months later, we broke up for a while and I took him back.

Since then we have been great, we moved to a new state together and all was fine. Now, he refuses to have sex with me. And sex is his thing. He has had sex with over 40 women (yes I had him get checked). It has been over a month since he even looked at me like he wanted me. Last night he told me he wanted me to stop trying to have sex with him, that he would initiate when he felt like it.

I don't get it, we where the couple that had sex every day, that annoying couple that kissed in public all the time. Now I can barely get him to hold my hand. He slept on the couch last night, for no reason. He just never came to bed, we hadn't argued or anything. Every time I bring up something and ask him "why", he just says he just does, and has nothing else to say. Just is how it is.

So my question is, what do you think is going on? He always tells me if he didn't want to be with me, he wouldn't be. Which is true, he can leave when he wants. So what else could be going on? I do not need sex, but the fact that I have to ask him if I look pretty, and that my own boyfriend doesn't want to have sex with me?

I'm out of ideas. Is he cheating? Is he tired of me? Is he gay? I mean I'm not an ugly person, I am in no way overweight. So if someone has some idea what could be going on in his handsome head, I would love to hear it. Thank you.

He gets away with this because you let him... you are still convenient to him... thats why he hasn't walked yet. We call that kind a pompous blowhard, or a jerk. What made them cool in high school, turns them into losers with overinflated egos not many years afterwards.

And last but not least... any relationship that's "always or frequently ROCKY". Isn't a relationship you should be in.

A good relationship is RARELY rocky. And whatevers causing it, isn't going to go away.

People stubborn enough to foolishly think its going to be better eventually, better after they get married, beter after they have a kid or kids... are foolishly deluding themselves.

They always end up divorced after the best years of their lives are wasted.

I am no expert but sounds like he is cheating, I'd talk to him and if he doesn't change then I'd leave him before it gets harder to leave him.
