2009 Honda Civic Coupe A/C problem
I have a rebuilt title honda civic coupe 2009 When I got it the ac would not work because there was no freon so it was charged only to find out that there was a hole in the line from the compressor to the condenser and the freon had leaked out
I then had the line repaired only to find out that now for some reason the ac will not work when the vehicle is on the highway as I think the line is freezing and causing the compressor not to run then if you shut it off for a bit the line defrosts and the ac will work fine
Someone suggested it could be the THERMISTOR ANy help or suggestions would be appreciated Please also email me the answer to [email protected]

Sounds like a bad thermal expansion valve (TXV). It's best to replace the receiver-drier and thermal expansion valve (TXV) found on most imports, when the system is opened. Replace O-rings on all new components and leaking connections, coating them with PAG oil. Afterwards, the system will need to be evacuated (vacuum pumped for 40 minutes at 28 in.-Hg) and recharged.

How much does the expansion valve run ? I just had a kit which had the expansion valve , compressor , o-rings and the dryer all for 295 but seems silly to keep it all if I don't need it all
One a/c shop said it sounded like it could be the thermistor Are you framiliar with that ? The ac first was vacuated and recharged It lasted a day to find out their was a leak in the line That was repaired and then when on the highway once engine or car heated up it seemed the air wouldn't blow out but was fine in the city but the compressor seems to be running fine unless someone wired it to constantly run after it was wrecked either by accident or? And I can't afford to just keep replacing and don't know what or how to go about figuring our how to test it or what to try first
