    When I was 14 my ex was 21 and someone told on us for seeing each other so he went to
    When I was fourteen and my ex was twenty-one, someone told on us for dating and so he went to jail for third degree rape. I did not press charges and neither did my parents. I didn't want the order of protection but they still issued it. I'm 17 almost 18 now and I want to know if when I'm 18, a legal adult to make my own decisions, if I could get rid of the order of portection so that I could see him again and not have me or him go to jail because of an Oder of protection

    He didn't go to jail for "dating" you. He went to jail for statutory rape. And he will have sex offender status for the rest of his life.

    A 21 yr old who has sex with a 14 yr old is likely to be a pedophile. Do you know if he wants to have anything to do with you? It is possible you could have the order lifted, but I would first see if he wants to. Most likely you are now too old for him.

    What ScottGem said. But it is not likely that you could get in trouble for his violation of the OOP in any event.

    Most likely even when he gets out on probation, he will be ordered to stay away from you.

    And he went to jail because he was a pedophile and no one has to press charges ( although any loving decent parent would have, and to be blunt if your parents did not turn him in they are terrible parents)

    Well even though he isn't supposed to talk to my even through someone else I talk to his best friend sometimes and he tells me that he wants me back and still loves me and yea I know my parents are *******s they don't care about me at all, I'm in a foster home now till I'm 18 and I've been here since I was 16 because my parents don't care about me but they care about their biological kids. It's dumb, but anyway I still do believe he loves me we were together for a while before he got in trouble. I just want to be loved ! And he was the only one in my life who's ever took care of me and looked out for me.

    That is what pedophiles do, till you get too old for them and they want to start with someone younger.

    I'm sorry you have had a hard time of things in your life. But that actually makes it even more likely this guy is a pedophile. You were a typical victim of pedophiles. Young, in a situation were you were looking for affection, with poor adult supervision. An easy target for a predator. I strongly suspect that whoever let the authorities know, knew this guy had done it before.

    You WILL find someone for you eventually. But don't mistake your need for affection as real love. This will only serve to hurt you again.
