Let me take a guess at this. Are you just wanting to hook the motor up to a cord so you can plug it into an outlet for testing? If so, I would need to know the colors of the wires to be sure, but Ill take a stab at it. If you have, say, a black, blue, red, yellow (maybe orange), white, and a couple of brown wires on the motor (let me know) the browns hook to the capacitor (you will need this hooked up for testing, or running of the motor at all). The white would go to the neutral wire on your cord, and then the other colors are just different speeds of the blower. So, tape or wire nut off all but one color and hook the last one to the hot wire of the cord. Normally, black is high speed, blue is med-hi, yellow/orange is med-low, and red is low speed. This is all assuming you have a multi-speed motor. If Im way off base, just let me know, along with the other info I requested, and we should be able to get you all set up.

Any recommendations? New motor apparently is capable of running in either direction by switching brown and purple wires going to the capacitor. Looks like then either the remaining brown or purple is spliced to or hooked up to the same terminal as the yellow. Thanks.
