Well, without knowing where you are it's impossible to tell you what the guidelines are in your City/State/Country. That's a start.

She nearly cussed you? What does that mean?

Have you spoken to your son's Attorney, assigned or privately hired?

The Attorney has no answers? The violation of probation is one of his charges - how did she ever miss that?

    I'd be really, really frustrated.

Let me see if I can find someone here who knows a lot more about the terms of probation and time frames than I do.

    Hello c:

First off, his PO is NOT there to help, and she WON'T. Don't expect her too. Next, there is NO time limit for keeping a probation violator in jail before he has a hearing.. MOST of the time, they'll keep him in there for about the time he would have been sentenced to in the first place. He'll be given credit for his jail time and be released...

He certainly COULD use a lawyer. No, they don't appoint them for probation violations..

    Ok, agree with excon,

First the PO is not even suppose to talk to you if the son is over 18, since it is the son who has to take care of his own business.

And yes if your son was in a car with drugs or drug items, he is suppose to be violated, that is how it works. So yes the PO did her job in violating your son.

A PO is not there to help your son, not there to put your son on any program, her job and her only job is to put in back in jail if he even looks like he is messing up.

Once he gets violated, it is up to the court to put him on a calender for a hearing, this can take normally from one week to two months normally.

There are many reason he could be in longer, for example if he acted up very badly on the day he was suppose to go to court, he could have been put in isolation even and a hearing had to be rescheduled.

It is his attorneys job and only his attorney that needs to work with the court clerk on why there is no hearing.
