How often does a 501c3 Church Organization need to do a formal audit by an accountant
We do yearly internal audits of our revenues expenses, etc. Is there a requirement that an outside audit, by an Accounting Firm or Auditor be done every other year, five years, etc.

This may be either from the state rules of incorp but are normally in the bi laws of the Corp.

I would expect that they would at least be done at least every year. Normally many require a out side book keeping firm do all the books.
