    Replacing light switch with switch outlet combo
    I would like to replace a light switch and add a light switch outlet combo, but only have two wires in the box

    What you have in the box is only a switch leg. It is only the hot wire being brought in, then broken by the switch. You have no neutral or ground, therefore rendering it impossible to complete a circuit for an outlet. Somewhere you would have to bring in a neutral and ground wire to make this combo work.
