    Gator Bite fittings: Soldering Cooper pipe heat issue?
    How close can I solder copper to a Gator Bite fitting without being concerned of melting plastic in Gator Bite?

    Wrap a damp rag around it and you buy yourself some time and distance. Everything is dependent on how fast you work otherwise.
