I am in middle school and every time I'm with my favorite cousin when it someone else with us I get "kicked to the curb". Please help me

You poor thing! As if Middle School wasn't hard enough, you seem to have a cousin who is popular with the same group that "kicks you to the curb" when you're alone. As an adult and a high school teacher, my first reaction is to tell you you don't need those people, but I know that's not helpful.

I suggest you start with your cousin. Ask her to help you out. If she is involved with these kids, maybe she can invite you to go somewhere with her where these kids will be. If she treats you like a special person, they will probably follow her lead. You can also ask her if she knows why they treat you like that.

But seriously, you're going to find out very quickly that everyone has people who like them and people who don't. If you don't fit in with one group, find another where you do. You'll be happier in the end if you don't try to force yourself into a place where you don't belong.
