    2000 honda civic
    My 2000 Honda Civic won't idle and dies. I have checked the timing and it has not jumped time, changed distributor, map sensor is good, repalced pcm, replaced the manifold sensor...

    Help.

    If the Check Engine Light comes on for 2 seconds and then goes out, when the ignition switch is turned to ON (Position II), then the problem is distributor related. Did you install a genuine Honda distributor? Greater than half of the aftermarket distributors for Hondas don't work--the remaining ones tend to be unreliable and don't go the distance. Try installing a genuine Honda distributor housing, where it's fine to install an aftermarket ICM and coil to keep the cost down.

Thank you for reading.. I have an error code 1336 on a 2000 Honda Civic - I found it's a speed fluctuation sensor for rpm - or it's called a cfk?
