No water coming out of toilet water valve?
My problem.. I woke up this morning and the toilet flushed but wouldn't fill up with water. I checked the fill value and water supply value. There is no water coming out of the water supply when on or off. So I've determined its nothing to do with the water value or water fill what could the problem be?

Are you saying that you disconnecter the supply to the toilet tank and there's no water coming out of the angle stop. If yes then tell me about it. If no then tell me which ballcock is yours. (see image). Back to you, Tom

The first image is mine. However, I'm talking about about the water value under the toilet that connects to the wall. I turned off the value and removed the hose which connects the water valve to the toilet. Then turned open the water valve to see if there was any water coming out. There wasn't. Not sure what to do. I went to the store and purchased all nev water valve, hose, and water fill kit but it doesn't look like that's the problem.

Not sure what is happening. Is this a new instalation or a repair. If it is new then I would follow that water supply pipe back to see if there is another shut off on the line somewhere. The only logigical explanation is the main line is shut off. If the water is flowing in other parts of the home or apartment then you have a faulty valve. Hope this helps.

If the water supply is now connected and you are not getting water flow to the tank then there is a problem with the float valve. Check float is working properly.

    Hello Tayjay,

You have done the correct trouble shooting and looks like you have bad angle valve and needs to be replaced, see the image below will show how to replace it, make sure to shut off the water to the house before remove the valve, good luck.

Well, that's not right! The "float valve" is downstream from a angle stop with no water coming out.

Tayjay, Shut the water off and replace the angle stop. (Note, You can reuse the 1/2" compression nut and ferrule.) and test it out. Do you get water now? Let me know, Tom
