    Lexmark 4875 black ink cartridge doesn't print
    I cannot get my lexmark printer to recognize that I have installed a new black ink cartridge. I have had it a few years so I know how to remove the tape from the cartridge.

    When you put it in does the printer prompt you to print an alignment page? Is the print cartridge a genuine Lexmark or a refill? Also, look inside the printer (where the cartridge goes) to see if there is any debris that might cause poor electrical connection to the new cartridge.

    You can try to remove and put it back again. Sometimes our printer is the same, but we have an Epson though.
