    Hampton Bay Canopy Removal
Our Hampton Bay ceiling fan's canopy has no screws with which it was attached. There is a plastic ring. We need to remove the canopy to get to replace the fan. How do we remove that canopy. It does not want to budge. I have tried turning it with both hands as forceful as our grip allows. I've tried prying it with a screw drive. No luck with either. All previous answers say that I just need to turn it.

Yes the ring just twists off. It covers the screws.
