    Theft over 5000
During a time of extreme emotional abuse I stupidly took money that did not belong to me to pay bills. Since this I have paid it all back. I have now been charged with theft over 5000. I have a family and need to seek employment. What can I expect. Is it possible to have charges dropped?

What state or country do you reside... the choice to drop a charge is up to the victim and maybe the DA... but since you did it... there is enough evidence of the act. Having paid paid back (which I hope you have kept proof of) will definitely be a plus for you when the time comes, and reduce the penalties they would likely impose.
