When will the pain from cartilage piercings stop?
I got my cartilage pierced 1 week ago and it is still sore to touch... How much longer will it stay like this? Also, you're supposed to wash it once a day, but when can you stop worrying about it not getting infected? I was also told that you are not supposed to twist it for it will make it heal slower.. Any thoughts?

My friend got hers pierced and it stayed sore for about a month, slowly wearing away. The twisting fact is fake. It actually makes sure the earring doesn't fuse with your ear. Just keep hair away from it and it will soon stop hurting.

Where exactly do cartilage piercings go through? [ 1 Answers ]

I'm getting my cartilage pierced tomorrow and I'm a bit anxious. A friend of mine told me they deliberately miss the cartilage and just go through the fleshy-skin part above the cartilage... contrary to what I've heard. Is she right or not and where exactly does the piercing go through?
