Oil fired boiler with new indirect tank what is cost of hot water
I live in a 13 unit building it had a 1998 burnham oil fired boiler with a super store booster tank for hot water.my unit is not part of the heating system. The building scrapped the booster tank and closed off the internal coil in the boiler for an indirect tank and now bill me for hot water at a rate of 1/3 the cost of oil that I would be paying if I also got heat. There is no change in the amount of oil burned when averaged daily during the summer between the old and new systems. Is there any way to calculate the cost of hot water during the heating months or was the promise of this 4k tank just hot air (polite for B.S.) any fact that in the north east the ratio of 1/3 oil is used to make domestic hot water and 2/3 goes to heating of space is a well maintained oil fired system with this top of the line tank

I would think 1/3 of the cost for domestic hot water is pretty high,,

The pressure seems fine on the boiler, but water comes out of the pressure release pipe. I have no idea when this happens, but it does not happen continually. How can I stop this from happening? I drained the tank, but this did not help.
