I know you already realize that the visa and passport only costs a few hundred dollars. And should be only a few weeks at best. Of course you already know there is no medical required for travel, and there is no requirement to have money in the bank to travel.

If she is coming as a student, what college has she already been accepted at?

They are allowed to stay for as long as they are a full time student. They will have to return when they are no longer a full time student.
