    I have a 1990 Honda Accord, and I clean all IACV ?
    I cleaned all the parts from the IACV and still is Idle up and down from 1000rpms to 3500 rpms, How about the black sencer where it conects, can that go bad? I cleaned throttle body and everything still Ildes up and down. Any help please, email me at>Removed< Thanks

    . Purge the cooling system of air, by filling the radiator with coolant until it comes out the bleeder bolt.

    . Check for vacuum leaks--examine hoses, Fast Idle Thermo Valve (ensure valve seat is tight), and Idle Air Control Valve (IACV).

    Yes I did bleed the radiator, and check for vacuum leaks, and still Idles up and down. Could it be the sensor that plugs in? Thanks

    Did you ensure the Fast Idle Thermo Valve's valve seat is tight (remove cover and rotate seat clockwise)?

    If the problem persists, install a new igniter, being sure to apply silicone heat transfer grease to the back of the igniter.

    I tighten down the Fast Idle control clockwise. I bled the radiator. Where is the igniter? And what does that do THanks.

    IACV Problem
    My HOnda accord 1990 Idles up and down from 1000rpms to 3500rpms, I bled the radiator, Turn the fast Idle clockwise to tight posistion. Replace the Idle sencer. Check for Vac leaks and there is none. Clean the IACV AND FICV, what is the Igniter? Some one says change that? ANy Help please. Thanks

    Inside the distributor. It's an electronic switch, which opens and closes current going to the coil. It affects timing.
