Hi I'm just wondering how far along you have to be 2 get a positive reading on a home pregnancy test if its taking and the later afternoon

HPT's read hcg levels in your urine so in early pregnancy, using first morning urine is best since the hormones are most concentrated after several hours of not using the bathroom.
Read the directions carefully - depending on the brand it will recommend that you do not test until 10-14 days past ovulation (at the earliest, 4 days before your period is due until you are late). That is with first morning urine. As far as testing in the p.m. no one can say for sure. It depends on how far along you are and what levels of hormone your body is producing--if any.

K the other issue is I didn't have a menstraul I had my mirana taking out @ the end of June had a small amount of bleeding from having it taken out which my dr said 2 expect from the middle of July to the middle of August I was taking hpt like evry day to evry other day then for a whole week I didn't take 1 then I finally took another 1 & that's the 1 that finally showed a positive
