This is a long story but it has to be told. I need to know how my case stands in getting my cousin. My aunt has A LOT of issues biggest of all is her children, she lost her first 2 to her first husband cause she got strung out on drug and got into a car accident while on both drugs and alcohol, she was in a coma for a bit after she was done with the rehabilitation she was doing great for a little while. After about 7 months she got back on the drugs and took off on a runner ( we call them this because she disappears for weeks at a time because of the drug and her prostituting herself out, usually she doesn't remember) Only to wined up on one of our front porch with a sob story about how someone made her do it but she would never file a police report. After about 6 years of her having her "runners" about once a month my grandfather sent her to Oklahoma, which seemed like a good idea to get away from the people that she can't help herself around. Only problem was it didn't stop it got worse in fact. I was with out Christmas on year because my parents had hid our presents in the car and she stole it for one of her "runners". After that she seemed like she had changed we had a good 2 years of what we thought was her going to na and aa and seemingly getting her life on track but she wasn't. She ending up pregnant and she was still using the only way we found out was because my mom found a needle in her purse (of course it "wasn't" hers) shortly after that I was witness to something I wish I had never seen Her main lining in the neck while pregnant. Of course she tried to tell me that it was benadryl I think is what she called it either way it was a lie. She also drank though I did not see her my mother did. Needless to say the baby died but not like you would think he died on Christmas day just 2 weeks before he was to be born. This still did not stop her the use continued and she conceived for the well 13th time but the 9th so live past a miscarriage. 9 months later after pleading from the family to stop she had a full term but preemie size baby at only 3lbs. Straight after she was born the child was giving to me but my aunt cause she just couldn't handle it (I only being 16 at the time) but I raised her the best I could she was a normal happy 3 year old when her mother came over for a visit (happened very rarely) where at the visit my confused cousin called me mom (she learned it at day care and I was trying to get her to understand that I wasn't but that I loved her as if I were) she then got upset and took the child which being young I couldn't stop.. . After way more drug and a new husband (my aunt) she is going on her "runners" again the last straw for me was her fighting with her husband and slashing his tires, throwing him at my cousin. That day my aunt husband picked her up from school (stating that finally he was going to leave and make her get the help she needs) my aunt called me and told me that my cousin was staying the night at her friends house, as she told me that I was giving her a bath! For 3 days I did not tell her where she was (she didn't ask) on the 3 night (my cousin having to be to school the next day) she calls me frantic because my cousin was missing. There is a lot more to tell but to make it short this is the bare minimum of what's going on. My cousin has huge black circles under her eyes she is almost skin and bones and when she comes to my house she tell me that she doesn't want to go back. A bit of information on myself in case it needed is that I'm 23 married, 2 childern, own a house and 2 cars. My husband makes plenty a year without my salary so we can very well provide for her (I have been doing it anyway I have been the only one to buy her school clothes and supplies ever) she is 8 if that matters. Please can anyone help me I don't want her in the states custody but I fear she will die if her mother keeps this up. I have given up on my aunt but my cousin I will never!
