Is it normal for a TV to put out 40v AC into the Ground Shield of the cable jack?
Mine is doing that + 60v AC from the cable box! Any clues? TV still works, but the cable technician did get a shock from it. Seems to have abated since I connected a new ground wire, but no apparent short circuits (no blow fuses anyway). Input from pole shows no voltage in the shield. I had assumed the shield of all co-axial cables was the ground, no?
