I am 16 years old, and in 2010 when I was in the 10th grade, I met this guy in chorus class, and not shortly after that, we found out we went to the same church. Well we started talking in church and at school and hanging out, and stuff, and I kind of started liking him but I didn't know it was for real yet, or not.

This year (2011) we started texting, and talking more, and really getting to know each other better, and I started telling my best friend how awesome he was, and how I really started to like him now. Around Halloween time he wanted to have a movie night thing, so I help him plan it, and stuff. Well I invited my best friend that he didn't know at the time, this was the first time they had ever met. Well one day, a few days after the party, he was telling me how he was going to this haunted house thing with a few friends, and their dates, and how he was the only single one going, well I was thinking he was going to ask me, but sure enough he didn't, he brought up my best friend, asking me about her, and stuff, well me being all upset, and angry, I gave him her number.

Well before he asked her, I told her what was going to happen, and she told me don't worry, I'll say no, you're my best friend, I would never betray you, and all this crap. She ended up saying yes, and they started dating a few weeks later. Well I was upset, and told her, and she made me so mad. So we are no longer best friends, because she knew how I felt, and said she would never betray me, and all this crap, and she thought everything was going to be back to normal, and I wasn't going to mad at her, and we were going to be besties again. I told her she stopped being my best friend the day she lied to me, and betrayed me. Well anyway me, and her now boyfriend, still talk and we flirt (even though he is dating my EX best friend), and we still hang out we are still really close.

And I really think I'm falling in love with him. And I'm really stuck on what to do, I tried to get over him but we talk almost everyday, so its really hard with how sweet he is, he so amazing and makes me smile all the time. I just don't know what to do about it... Can Somebody Help Me!

I would stop flirting with him & question who your real friends are.

It doesn't sound like either one of them are making you happy.

What you should do in my eyes is try and stay away from him bit by bit because those feelings will continue to grow and it'll get you and her into a fight and he might not like neither of you all. Just try to keep him as a friend level thing you know? You should forgive your friend even though she has some serious issues. :) good luck.

I think you should have backed off and given your friend a green light when he first told you of his choice of a date.

To bad you were to upset, and hurt by his choice to think straight. No excuse for your best friend to lie though, NONE!!

She is a lousy friend for lying, not dating this fellow as she must have been liking him too! Since the guy didn't know the behind the scenes drama, you should at least back off, so you can protect yourself, and maybe later accept he sees you as a friend.
