    My 1990 honda accord revs at 2000 rpms when started
    When I start my car the rpm gauge shoots too 2000 rpms and itsd in idle, I have no clue what could cause this

    . Check Fast Idle Thermo Valve--it may need replacing.

    . Clean Idle Air Control Valve (IACV), throttle plate, and throttle body.
