Our church has a Heil PGAA60GIK4 unit I would like to get some parts information for. Some folks complained of smelling gas real bad last week and we had a service man come look at the unit. It's a 1997 model and he said it needed replaced. I don't believe that. The air conditioner is wonderful but he said some of the seven burners were (collapsed?). I had someone ask him if we could have the burners replaced and he said it would cost about as much to replace as for a whole new HVAC unit. That's when I decided he just wanted to make a sale. Please advise what our options are as we are on a tight budget and want to replace what's needed to get the heat back on. We'll replace the whole heating (burner) assembly if we knew the parts to order (part numbers etc.). Is there a repair manual available for this unit? I'd like to obtain one even though we'll have a certified service man do the work.

Ask the company for a quote for the burner replacement. After you get the quote get a 2nd from a local dealer. Burners are cheap compared to a new system.

This is a series of seven burners on what looks like a metal drawer with a disconnect in the gas line. When you refer to a burner replacement, does this come as an assembly with all seven elements or is each element a separate piece. The service man said that three were collapsed (probably rusted through from the propane gas)so I'd like to replace the whole assembly.
