What to do when you can't move on from a past relations
Well I was in a 5.7 year relationship. I lived with him for 5 years and three months out of our relationship.I was pretty mean during the years we were together and I know it was a smart move for him to break up because of the way I acted during our relationship. I realized it after he left and feel terrible... Its been 2.5 years since our break up and I'm still totally in love with him... We have no mutual friends and the only contact I have is his fathers number I have not heard or seen him in over a year. I have thought about callling his dad and pleading with him and I honestly feel like I've matured somewhat since we have been together and I have more to offer now... When people tell me to move on I feel even more worse because of the feelings I have for him I LOVE him so much and have no idea of what to do I've been single for a while and each day that passes I feel more helpless... Please some advise would be great...

The reason you haven't felt any better is because you haven't accepted that you NEED to move on. You go through stages after breaking up with someone, and you haven't started the process. Do you go out often, or are you sitting indoors doing nothing with your spare time?

Accept its over, and keep your dignity, and self respect by not contacting, and pleading with his father. The best way to move on is to build a life that you enjoy without him in it, with your own friends family, and activities that make you happy.

Its not easy, and takes time, so give yourself some more time rather than chase someone that has ignored you for a year.

It is over;I think you have allowed yourself to get stuck in

''broken heart mode'' and it's time to seriously consider if

That's where you want to be for the rest of your life...

Make a conscious decision to start moving on and take it

    One day at the time.

Learn to love yourself and do things that make you feel

    Good about yourself.
