    Torch test
    Hi,
My baby was born with a scar behind the right eye(they found out when they did the TORCH test to him).I went with him to the doctor and they found out that my ob didn't do a TORCH test to me when I was pregnant.Should I talk with a lawyer about this?

I'd ask an Attorney but the lawsuit would depend on whether this test is routinely done or is otherwise called for. I am reading that it is very expensive.

It's a blood panel. Did you request the test? Was there reason to suspect you needed the test? Does the Doctor routinely order the test?

Those are questions your Attorney will have to find answers to.

I am reading that the panel is recommended if the mother has (or has been exposed to): Toxoplasmosis, Rubella, CMV, Herpes.

It is usually ordered when the mother has Herpes.

    What is your situation?
