Looking for clarification on filing as a non-resident
From the postings I have read here so far, it appears I should file my taxes as a non-resident alien as opposed to dual status. Still, here are my particulars, just in case I'm wrong.

    1. From Jan-July 2006 I was on F1 (OPT). I came to the US in Aug. 2003 on the F1 and have filed 1040NR-EZ and 8843 every year since.

    2. From July-late October 2006 I was outside the country awaiting my H1B.

    3. Nov. 1 2006 -- I started a new job in the US on an H1-B.

Am I correct that I should file as a non-resident alien again? What about the forms? Should I still go with the 1040NR-EZ and the 8843?

    Thanks,

    Cristian

NR is correct and you must file the 8843 in respect of the days when you were on F1.
