    Pulley on Tensioner replacement
1998 Accord V6, just replaced the serpentine belt with no problems from the pulley, the belt broke after driving couple of miles - I think it's the pulley but everywhere I read about replacing the pulley it talks about lifting the engine.

Try spinning the pulleys by hand--they shouldn't be too difficult to replace, if necessary. Did you route the serpentine belt correctly?

Sorry, you were very helpful - I'm just mechanically frustrated with the tight spaces.

The key to working on FWD cars is being willing to strategically remove items that are in the way. I have to do this all the time--it's part of the game and goes with the turf.

Can't you easily get a box-end wrench on the nut going to the tensioner pulley? I assume that's the pulley that failed. It's hard to believe you have to lift the engine to replace a serpentine belt tensioner pulley.
