    Hi sisiwe,

    Your period may be off after a recent abortion. You may also continue to get a positive result on a pregnancy test for a little while as the hormone associated with pregnancy leaves your system. If you have had a recent abortion, it is wise to always have a follow-up visit to be sure that it was complete.

    If you find that you continue to not have a period after a few months, and you normally were quite regular, see your doctor.

    Your question and the title of your thread, don't seen to have anything to do with each other? So I'm wondering whether you had two questions.

    An home test doesn't "lie". Lying is a deliberate act. But it is possible for a EPT to return an inaccurate result if its not done properly.
