Ex boyfriend called me to wish me happy birthday
About a month ago, my ex (I dated for a year and 2 months) had said that he never wanted to talk to me again. We've been broken up for about 5 months now and I have gone NC for about 1, the previous months had been with very little contact. He called me on my b-day and we had a little chat.. I asked him how life was and he said "pretty ****ty hbu?". And he was bragging that he could drive and he was asking questions about me. It was very surprising when I answered the phone and heard his voice.. and I am still confused. I'm not sure what to think: is he just trying to be nice (kind of confusing because of how mean he had previously been to me), or if he and his current girlfriend got into a fight and he wants me back, or is he missing me , or what? I pretty much think he was just bored and decided to call but I don't know.. please reply what you honestly think.. thanks :).
