My boyfriend was a total jerk to ALL girls and wanted sex only from them. He cheated, lied, and more. I met him my Freshman year in high school and we became instant friends. We became so close to where we dated my junior year in high school. Not once did he treat me like he did with the others! He treated me amazing, did not pressure me into sex (I was a virgin at the time) and just was the sweetest guy! I couldn't believe it since he is a complete jerk to all girls.
Anyway, we broke up on a bad note my junior year, and did not talk for two whole years. I contacted him my senior year apologizing for how things ended and we soon started talking every day again my freshman year in college. We stayed up nights just talking on the phone and texting non-stop! We dated again my sophomore year in college and I wanted to know about his past.. He has slept with 17 girls and I cannot stop being bothered about it! He has treated me amazing! Even his friends said he has never treated a girl with such respect before. I'm his first love as he is mine and I need help to get over his past.. I found out from people that he is planning on proposing to me.. They said this is a big deal for him since he has never wanted to settle down or even cared enough for a girl be sweet to. He had bought me a promise ring saying that we will marry each other and.. I hate feeling like this! That he has slept with so many girls! Especially one girl who he used to get me jealous when we were talking as friends my freshman year in college! He said all these things to get me jealous to see if I had feelings for him still. He slept with her and lied to me about it in the beginning of our relationship. He said he didn't want to tell me about his past because he knew I wouldn't want to date him again. He was right. I'm in love with him again and I hate feeling hurt all the time that he slept with so many girls after our break-up in high school! Help /:

One more thing, in the beginning of our relationship the second time around, that girl he slept with and lied to me about, had texted him saying how she would never meet another guy like him and blah blah blah. She knew he had a girlfriend and sent him that text. He didn't tell me about it until a month later.. I'm 21 and need to mature and get over his past but I can't seem to.. especially when he lied to me just so he could have another chance with me.. I think that was selfish on his part.. HELP! /:

Clearly you are his ONE. His special one love and that's why he treats you well. As long as he isn't an *** to you or anyone else anymore, I wouldn't worry. If it still bothers you, and you guys are as close as you say, just talk to him about it. If you are in love, you will pull through any impending argument and will become closer.

He obviously likes you, but guys will always try to seem like they are th nicest guys in the world, if he lies, its in his personality, he can't change it. You got to ask yourself if your really okay with being lied to. Its not bad that he has a lot of sex, but its bad that he "cheated lied and more". Your opening statement. Id say if you really like him, date him, but tell him your not okay with the things he does. If you can make him change, even a little, that's good.
And hey, you might even get a movie deal, just kidding, don't make a movie about it.
