    Rules about probation in Idaho?
    If my boyfriend is 19 and was sentenced with Injury to a Child, and I am 17 but will be 18 in two weeks and his court date where he will be given the final say on his probation and stuff is in one week. After he gets put on his probation will him and I have to stop dating?

    It will depend on the terms of the probation, If you are connected to the case ( you did not say what your part in this is) but if you were either a party in the harm, or if you were the child he was charged with harming) then it is most likely he will not be able to contact you in any way.

    And I again have to ask, if he hurt a child, why would you want to be with someone that could do that.

    The actual situation is that a year ago two months after he turned 18 he was seeing this girl and thought that she was older than she was, but turns out she wasn't and they had sex. Now, a year later, the girls friend got angry at him and told the police about what happened. The sex was consensual and the girl even put that in her statement, so his sentence was reduced to Injury to a Child. I am not involved in the case, I am just his current girlfriend.

    Your boyfriend is the most lucky person I have ever heard of.
    What he did with someone under age is rape, OK I know she agreed, but that does not matter, here In GA he would be doing at least 2 years in prison, maybe even up to 5, Happens every week.

    But you will be a adult, as he is, and unless you are on probation there should be no rules on you dating him.

    Will he be a listed sex offender ? Or did that get dismissed also.

    No he should not be listed as a sex offender. And OK thank you that is very reassuring to me, I was very worried I would lose him. Despite what you say I do not see what he did as rape in any way and I care about my boyfriend very much.

    Just saying what it is legally, by law it is rape, many people do not see it that way, but that is what he could have been convicted of.
