    You can major in biology and physiology and chemistry, and study DNA.
    Or statistics and math, and study clades and haplogroups.
    Or anthropology, sociology, and historical movements of peoples.

    Genealogy isn't enough of a field of expertise by itself - anyone can do it.

    Genealogy is a hobby, not a vocation, though some may try to make a living at it. But there is no accredited university degree for it.
