    12hp bs starter upgrade
    The log splitter has a 12hp briggs and stratton engine #276012 whose pull start I would like to alter to an DC starter. It has a place to install the starter but no ring gear. My problem is I can't locate the parts I need using that engine model. I'd like a ring gear and starter. Thanks

    Here are all the numbers I could find on the engine.
    5BSXS.3442VM376012 and 040929ZA10097 from a briggs and stratton 12 hp I/C OHV Huskee 35
    Ton log splitter. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
