Green card holder marrying a Mexican citizen
My husband's cousin is currently a green card holder. He is planning to get married in Mexico to a citizen of Mexico. He wants to know if this will affect his ability to get his U.S. citizenship when the time comes that he can put in his naturalization application (that will still take about 4 years). He is planning to live in the U.S. for at least six months in a year. Can he get married in Mexico without it interfering with his citizenship process? Would it be better in his case to get married by law in Mexico or in the U.S.
