Brilliant!!
You would think he would have advisors to tell him,if he couldn't figure this out himself , that on one of the biggest gridlock days of the holiday season ;the day NYC lights it's Rockefeller Center Christmas tree (yeah I said it Lincoln Chaffe !CHRISTMAS ) ,that perhaps it wouldn't be a good idea for him to go to 3 fundraisers in Manhattan... or for Michelle to go shopping !
To make the gridlock trifecta complete ,Wednesday is the matinée day for Broadway theaters ;so tourist will be flocking in to see a show ,take in a dinner ,and watch the tree lighting . Is that the day he really wants to come in and close off traffic access to major sections of NYC roads ?

Dude!! Either he's a complete imbecile ,or he just doesn't care what we think. NYC is the epicenter of Obama support . What is he thinking??

He is trying to figure out a way to squeek by and somehow find 270 electoral votes.I had heard that he is devising a plan that doesn't include PA. in the calculation (where he thinks struggling white working class people are bitter clingers ). This trip to Scranton may have been ,what they call in basketball, a head fake.

As stated earlier, President Obama must maintain as much of his community of
Color, Millennial generation, and unmarried women base as possible in terms of
Vote share and electoral composition—and then manage to either hold his 2008
Margins among white college graduates to offset possible crushing losses among
White working-class voters or keep his deficits among both white college and
Working-class voters to 2004 levels and hope that his base support compensates
For these deficits.

The path to 270 electoral votes includes Colorado, Nevada, and Virginia ;and will not include Ohio or even Pennsylvania, even though it usually goes "blue " .

Well that's the plan on paper ;but I don't think he can give up on PA. even though his campaign will have to expend lots of resources to hold it.
