Furnace Pilot light goes out in seconds
So the ignition module went out on my furnace. I found one at patriotsupply.com and saved over 600 bucks from the heating and cooling company. I installed the ignition module and voilą we have an illuminated pilot, but the flame would light and go out within seconds. After some online searching, I went to clean the flame sensor and I successfully got my furnace to work for 88% of thanksgiving day. I recall turning my heat down in the evening, but after everyone went home I turned it backup with only the same problem as before. Flame blows out. I tried cleaning it again with no luck. I replaced the heat sensor. No luck. I replaced the igniter (I broke it by accident while inspecting) Back to square 2, pilot glows orange, lights flame, flame blows out in seconds. It's a 23 year old comfortmaker furnace.

ANY SUGGESTIONS? While I am pretty good at figuring things out... I am out of my comfort zone (no pun intended)

From other similar Furnace Pilot Light questions on the site, it seems the Thermocoupler is the place most people start looking for a culprit.

    Another interesting observation:

If the flame is yellow it is barely able to turn the thermocouple on. A little wind outside moves the flame a bit and the thermocouple turns off. If your flame is yellow, remove the pilot burner and clean it. I initially had another yellow flame out the air hole on the burner. This is a sure sign of clogging. The pilot needs air to burn blue.
You state the flame is Orange. Perhaps Orange-Yellow? You might want to try to clean the pilot burner. That is, if you feel comfortable doing these things yourself.
